Reliability Technician - Bend, OR
Overview:
The Reliability Technician is responsible for supporting reliability testing of power systems and their major sub assemblies, data recording, analysis, trouble shooting, test stand fabrication, and test monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support new and ongoing reliability testing.
• Data collection and analysis using test sheets, MS Excel and Access.
• Update weekly reliability run charts.
• Support report writing and presentation of test results.
• Support problem solving of reliability testing failures.
• Trouble shooting and repair of system and test stands to the modular level.
• Fabrication, installation, and set-up of test stands.
• Debug of test stands and test systems.
• Test maintenance including refueling, cleaning filters, etc.
• Work with other Engineers and Technicians in a team environment.
• Run qualification tests on systems under test.
• Work within a matrix organization.
• Support multiple tasks in parallel.
• Accomplish assigned task with minimal direct supervision.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum educational requirement of an AS in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• A solid team-player, capable of communicating concepts clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
• Familiar with use of basic measurement equipment, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Familiar with the use of trouble shooting equipment and instrumentation, multi-meters, etc.
• Proficient with personal computer, and Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Access, Power Point and Word.
• Understands electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Comfortable with disassembly and reassembly of systems and test benches.
• Knowledge and comfortable working with mechanical and electrical assemblies
• Knowledge and comfortable with the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand at assembly stations for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 75 pounds.
